Hey hey hey.

Kisame Hoshigaki, 31 years old, at your service.

I work at a pretty cool place called the Akatsuki Cafe as a chef, and I'm a pretty damn good one at that. My specialties lie in anything that can be chopped, minced, cut and the like. Of course I can do other things, but cutting the food is my favorite part. <3 Funfunfun. Oh so fun. The rush you get when the knife cuts cleanly through....

I'm a pretty nice guy though, if I do say so myself. I'm polite, considerate, and live to please. Well, sometimes. And a great sense of humor to boot! I enjoy a fun day at the beach and fishing in my spare time. I like being with my best friend Itachi, too. I'm also single. D:

Working At Akatsuki Cafe...

Kisame rather likes it at the Cafe, for the most part. While he doesn't like the crowds all that much, he's glad that he gets to cook and has access to so many knives. They're not as great as swords, but they'll do. His favorite part is getting to slice things up. Like cake and meat and the pudgy little fingers of those who should look but not touch. But yeah, Kisame's pretty happy with working at the Cafe, even on the rare occasion when he has to leave the kitchen for whatever reason. Damn, does he hate those crowds. If only he could chop 'em up into itty bitty pieces with his sharp and shiny knife that he loves so very much. And man, does he love that knife.

Kisame is proud to say that while he has an unhealthy obsession with raw meats and sharp and shiny knives, he is rather good at controlling his instinctive urge to thin the crowds out. He says he cooks really, really well and he promises to stop leaving dead fish on top of tables for kicks and to not touch the cute schoolgirls that come by. He's much too old for them anyway and he doesn't want to get sent to prison again.

Let me break it down for you.

Kisame was born into your average family as an average child. Well, as average as you can be with a fascination for swords like Kisame had. While all of the other kids were playing Cops and Robbers, Kisame was the Swordsman Who Sliced Them All In Half type. The other kids didn't like him very much.

It was in his alone time that he developed a love for cooking. After all, it was the only way he could slice things up without being sent to prison for murder.

Despite this unnatural obsession with swords and knives, and now cooking, Kisame was actually a pretty nice, polite guy. Except for the whole wanting to slice people to bits part. He grew up to be a fine man, graduating from school and deciding to become a chef. He was well on his way to becoming Japan's top chef when tragedy struck. If that kid Zabuza would have just kept his hands to himself in that cooking competition; if he had just used his own knives, Kisame wouldn't have had to cut off several of his fingers. Really, was it HIS fault that the kid didn't know how to listen? But it was off to prison for him.

Prison wasn't as bad as Kisame thought it would be despite the six scars on his cheeks he had obtained in fights. In no time at all, he was back out on the streets. But with nowhere to go, Kisame wasn't quite sure what to do with his life. No respectable restaurant would hire him with his record, so it seemed his dreams of becoming a famous chef were out of the question. But then he happened to stumble upon Cafe Akatsuki...
